We are back and better than ever ! (By Annalee James – MTV Senior Young Leader)

We have made a strong return after the 2nd lockdown, running fun sessions for a wider age group and more exciting activities than ever before. The lockdown has allowed us to have time away from club to expand our work in the community and create a space for lots of children we didn’t reach before.

On a Monday, we have launched an MTV Juniors Club for Years 3-6 where we offer craft and fun science activities inside the bungalow, with sports and football outside, helping us cater to everyone’s needs. On our return we have also launched multi-sports events on Friday for both years 3-6 and year 6 & upwards, in separate bubbles.

It has been really great to see so many new faces and to see MTV back in action, especially as the community need for youth work grows as a result of the coronavirus. All of the new groups have ran alongside our longstanding Friday evening club, and it’s fantastic to see the clubs ongoing support and effect on the community.

MTV is back after our Covid absence

We have been pleased to receive guidance from our national youth organisations which allows us to restart MTV club sessions in limited, bubbled numbers.

We are now running a variety of sessions on Friday evening, some open to all, some on an invite-only basis to help us fine-tune our Covid-secure operation. To help we are asking everybody to adhere to our now Covid rules.
